To recruit volunteers for its “Annual Letter Writing Marathon”, Amnesty International Vlaanderen and Ogilvy decided to appeal to a special guest. Ales Bialiatski, a Belarusian activist for human rights, was released after three years in prison thanks to international pressure. He came to Belgium to personally thank one of the writers of the many letters sent to the Belarusia authorities. His trip was filmed and broadcasted on the Web and TV.
